Use the Shortcut Editor, create a text shortcut like this:

1. Enter "  " (two spaces and no quote marks) into the "Hot text" box
2. Check the "No trigger" checkbox
3. Enter ". " (a dot followed by a space - again, no quote amrks) into the "Content" box
4. Click the "Add" button.

With this new shortcut, Asutype will repalce double space by a dot followed by a space.
